Crazy country…
Yesterday, we went out for steamboats. A boiling pot of soup broth and raw meat and veggies and you cook it yourself. Fun to cook AND eat.
Well in out huge pile of meat, there was chicken, beef, prawns… the ususal.
Then there was also cuddlefish, mussels, squid, and jellyfish. Yup jellyfish. I tried all of it. Cuddlefish tastes remarkably like chicken, squid wasn’t bad as long as it wasn’t in the broth for too long. And jelly fish was interesting. As one might think… its pretty jellylike. It just fell apart when you bite into it… like really soft jell-o. Taste wasn’t awefull though. Cool experience.

Today, we did a big jungle trek. I got to see the world’s largest flower (even though it’s a fungus), swim in a waterfall pool, see where BOH tea is harversted (I even got to lie on one of the trees for a bit of relaxation time), go 4×4ing and get the crap scared out of me a few times, have a big butterfly land on me without me even noticing until someone mentioned it to me (and then the butterfly didn’t want to get off me… I think it realized that im pretty awesome and wanted to hang out for a bit), then I also played with some turtles, a cool little lizard, then I had 4 scorpions chilling on me… one on my head and 3 on my chest. I will post up a photo of this as soon as I can. I’ll probably put it up once I get to Kuala Lumpur.
Crazy day!
